Associate Coach

Time Commitment: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Supervisor: Director of Operations

Effective Hire Date: November 1st

Compensation: Base Salary Starts at $3000 + Incentives based on Experience

Qualifications & Requirements

CrossFit

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in related field
  • CrossFit Level 2 (or set date to attain w/in 6 mo)
  • Minimum of 500 CrossFit coaching hours (2 years)
  • *Farmland Instructor Training Program (ITP) Completion
  • *On-the-job paid training available)

Administrative

  • 2+ years experience in customer service/administrative
  • Proficient with Mac & Google Drive based programs: Pages/Word, Numbers/Excel, Keynote/Powerpoint, etc…
  • Execute and Draft professional emails
  • Manage Roster of up to 80+ members (Membership, Attendance, Training Goals, Nutrition, Support)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Manage, Hold direct reports accountable (Admin Assistant, Interns)
  • Coach up to 12-15 classes a week (including rotating weekend shifts - one every 3-5 weeks)
  • 28 office hours a week for General Admin (40 total hours including coaching weekly) to include:
  • Handling all incoming calls and communicate to Leadership team
  • All Planned Scheduling: Staff, Coaches, Weekly Shift Schedule, Events, Clinics, etc
  • Greeting clients, walk-ins, and check-ins for class & Relaying all member communications
  • Maintain our Farmland brand quality standards
  • Assist in (prep & delivery) monthly Coaches Continued Education Training
  • Schedule and Run Up to 2 Fitness Assessment hours on schedule each week
  • Project planning, budgeting, financial reports
  • Able to coordinate multiple calendars
  • Track and report an athlete roster of up to 80 clients
  • Assist in organization, marketing, and execution of community events
  • Communicate class feedback and findings to team leader for further business improvement

TRAINING SCHEDULE

Week 1:

  • New Hire documentation and orientation
  • Onboarding and introductions
  • Job processes and software access
  • Leadership, sales, and marketing meetings

Week 2-3:

  • Set training goals and objectives
  • Shadow and job role training

Week 4:

  • Fulfilling aspects of job role
  • Set monthly job performance goals

Part-Time Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach

Time Commitment: Part Time (25 hours per week)

Location: Waunakee, WI

Supervisor: Operations Manager

Effective Date: November 1st

Wage Range: $1,000-$1,500/month (earn upto $25,000/year with additional incentives)

The right person will solve our desire to enroll new members, coach and service our members to reach their personal goals, and coach group fitness classes across a diverse range of experienced and inexperienced athletes.

Responsibilities include informing members and prospective members about our specialized fitness programs, providing an educational strength and conditioning class for our students, managing a student roster, and assisting in community development and upcoming events.

Responsibilities

  • Twenty Five (25) hours a week of coaching and office responsibilities
  • Three to Five hour work shifts
  • Fulfill opening/closing gym responsibilities
  • Manage a membership roster of up to 40 members
  • Answer phones, manage email accounts, and inform prospective members
  • Encourage participation in community events
  • Assist in organization and execution of community events
  • Communicate class feedback and findings to Operations Manager for further business improvement
  • Execute Facebook marketing initiatives
  • Stimulate social media interaction that aligns with our team values and vision

Skills/ Requirements

People who will excel in this position have a passion for interacting with people, have adopted health and fitness as a way of life, and enjoy continuous learning and new challenges.

The following skill sets will be needed to excel in this position:

  • Coaching- Command of room, fun, inspiring, humble, detail oriented, technical exercise knowledge, basic workout program design knowledge.
  • Communication- Listening, clear and concise, friendly, confident, open minded, respectful.
  • Member Service- Well kept appearance, organized, assertive, caring, detail oriented, empathetic, multitasker, people oriented, problem solver, self controlled.
  • Business- Critical thinker, analytical, financial budgeter, prioritizer, troubleshooter, computer knowledge in excel, word, facebook, understands and believes in Farmland's core values, must abide by Farmland’s policies, procedures, and guidelines

Experience and Education

  • CPR certified
  • CrossFit Level 1 (current or plan to register within 30 days of hire)
  • Minimum of 2 years working with youth or adults from beginner to advanced levels of fitness experience
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree

Training and Support

Prior to coaching unassisted or carrying out business driven job duties, the Assistant Coach will train with a mentor coach to ensure their success in the position.

Coaches are expected to keep fitness training up to date per Farmland Fitness guidelines.

Compensation: Base Salary Starts at $2,300 + Performance Incentives

Commission: Up to $100 / sign-up

$100/mo towards career development after 6 months on team

  • 2+ years sales experience in services field
  • Proficient with Mac & Google Drive based programs
  • Proficient with Pages, Word, Numbers, Excel, Keynote, Powerpoint.
  • Draft professional emails
  • Ability to listen and respond clearly to customer needs
  • Can meet timely deadlines and respond with urgency
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
  • Working knowledge of sales management software, sales techniques, and processes

Responsibilities

  • 40 hours a week
  • Track and report marketing and sales metrics
  • Oversee advertising and marketing messages to drive traffic to our offers
  • Manage lead follow-up process to increase prospects into appointment attendance
  • Oversee and track new member onboarding sign-up process
  • Key job role performance indicators: Leads, Attended Appointments, Sign-ups

Schedule

  • Monday- 11-7pm
  • Tuesday- 8-4pm
  • Wednesday- 11-7pm
  • Thursday- 8-4pm
  • Friday- 8-3pm
  • Saturday- 1 Weekend half day sales shift per month

Proforma: ​*based on current averages, with room for growth

  • Base Income Membership Sign-up Commission Total
  • $50/signup (average 12/month); $100 / sign-up after base of 12 is achieved
  • $2,300 12 x $50 = $600 $2,900/mo.
  • $2,300 16 = (12 x $50 = $600) + (4 x $100 = $400) = $3,300/mo.
